Terms of entry

  1. William Reed Ltd (“Reed”) is a company registered in England under no. 2883992 with its registered office at Broadfield Park, Crawley RH11 9RT.
  2. Reed’s awards and events are intended only for business or professional audiences. If you are an individual consumer, you must make this clear to Reed prior to entering the Awards as different terms may apply to your entry.
  3. By entering the Awards the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and to be bound by them. These rules include any instructions set out with the Awards’ details.
  4. The Awards are open to residents or Great Britain aged 18 or more only. Overseas entrants are not eligible.
  5. Individual named entrants may not enter more than one Award category (“category/ies”). A company may enter as many categories as it chooses but each entry must state a different individual who will be responsible for that category.
  6. Companies that won any category in 2023 may not enter that category in 2024 except that an entrant who won a product category in 2023 may enter a different product for the same category in 2024.
  7. Entries must be submitted online at www.bakeryawards.co.uk. Entries must be submitted no later than 11.59 p.m. on Monday 22nd April 2024. Responsibility is not accepted for entries delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
  8. Entries will only be accepted if they are submitted online in full and with payment of the entry fee.
  9. Acceptance of each entry will be confirmed by Reed.
  10. The entry fee must be paid in pounds sterling and is not refundable.
  11. Entries must state the name of the person responsible for submitting the entry and to whom all correspondence concerning the Awards should be addressed.
  12. Reed reserves the right at its absolute discretion to reject any entry that it deems inappropriate.
  13. Entries will become the property of the Reed.
  14. Responsibility cannot be accepted for any lost, late or mislaid entries and any entry which is incomplete, or which otherwise does not comply with these terms and conditions may be deemed invalid in the sole discretion of Reed.
  15. Judging will take place from Monday 16th May to Friday 2nd August 2024.
  16. The finalists in each category will be announced online in September. All finalists will be notified individually via email by the end of September. Unsuccessful entrants will be notified at the same time.
  17. All finalists must make themselves available for judging and attend the awards ceremony on Thursday 24th October 2024.
  18. Each finalist company listed will receive one free ticket to attend the awards ceremony.
  19. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony. The winners’ names will be published online.
  20. Reed reserves the right to change the categories and the judging panel without prior notice to entrants.
  21. Reed’s decision on all matters affecting the Awards is final and legally binding.
  22. No correspondence will be entered into.
  23. Winners may be required to take part in some post-event publicity and consent to their name and photograph being used for such purposes.
  24. Winners may publicise that they are a category winner in the “British Baker Baking Industry Awards 2024” provided that the category is specified. Each winner will be sent a specific winner’s logo for this purpose.
  25. Entrants from product related categories are prohibited from publishing photos of their entries online, in print or in any other format, including social media, for public viewing prior to Friday 25th October.
  26. If entrants provide any images as part of their entry, they confirm that they hold the necessary rights, consents and licences required to use, amend, edit, adapt and publish the images by the Organiser. Each entrant hereby grants to Reed a worldwide, non-exclusive royalty-free right and licence to use, reproduce, publish, store, distribute and display the images in accordance with these Terms of entry.
  27. By entering the Awards, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of the Awards and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. Such personal information will be processed in accordance with the requirements of applicable data protection laws and Reed’s privacy policy.
