Terms of entry
- William Reed Ltd (“Reed”) is a company registered in England under no. 2883992 with its registered office at Broadfield Park, Crawley RH11 9RT.
- Reed’s awards and events are intended only for business or professional audiences. If you are an individual consumer, you must make this clear to Reed prior to entering the Awards as different terms may apply to your entry.
- By entering the Awards the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and to be bound by them. These rules include any instructions set out with the Awards’ details.
- The Awards are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 and over. Overseas entrants are not eligible.
- Individual named entrants may not enter more than one Award category (“category/ies”). A company may enter as many categories as it chooses but each entry must state a different individual who will be responsible for that category.
- Entries must be submitted online at www.bakeryawards.co.uk. Entries must be submitted no later than 11.59 p.m. on Monday 28th April 2025. Responsibility is not accepted for entries delayed as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
- Entries will only be accepted if they are submitted online in full and with payment of the entry fee.
- Acceptance of each entry will be confirmed by Reed.
- The entry fee must be paid in pounds sterling and is not refundable.
- Entries must state the name of the person responsible for submitting the entry and to whom all correspondence concerning the Awards should be addressed.
- Reed reserves the right at its absolute discretion to reject any entry that it deems inappropriate.
- Entries will become the property of the Reed.
- Responsibility cannot be accepted for any lost, late or mislaid entries and any entry which is incomplete, or which otherwise does not comply with these terms and conditions may be deemed invalid in the sole discretion of Reed.
- Judging will take place from Monday 19th May to Monday 28th July 2025.
- The finalists in each category will be announced online in September. All finalists will be notified individually via email by the end of September. Unsuccessful entrants will be notified at the same time.
- All finalists must make themselves available for judging and attend the awards ceremony on Thursday 23rd October 2025.
- Each finalist company listed will receive one free ticket to attend the awards ceremony.
- Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony. The winners’ names will be published online.
- Reed reserves the right to change the categories and the judging panel without prior notice to entrants.
- Reed’s decision on all matters affecting the Awards is final and legally binding.
- No correspondence will be entered into.
- Winners may be required to take part in some post-event publicity and consent to their name and photograph being used for such purposes.
- Winners may publicise that they are a category winner in the “British Baker Baking Industry Awards 2025” provided that the category is specified. Each winner will be sent a specific winner’s logo for this purpose.
- Entrants from product related categories are prohibited from publishing photos of their entries online, in print or in any other format, including social media, for public viewing prior to Friday 24th October.
- Entrants from product related categories represent and warrant to the Organiser that all of your entries are labelled in accordance with all applicable product safety rules and regulations and are not misleading. You will make available to the Organiser and the judges a list of all ingredients and allergens, if any, contained in your entries. The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to admit your entries to tasting if any such information has not been provided or is not appropriately displayed.
- Entrants from product related categories agree that you shall have the sole liability in respect of the entries and their consumption by the judges or otherwise. You shall indemnify and hold the Organiser harmless from and against all costs, claims, demands, proceedings, liability, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) whatsoever made against or incurred by the Organiser as a result of, or in connection with, the entries and their consumption by the judges or otherwise.
- If entrants provide any images as part of their entry, they confirm that they hold the necessary rights, consents and licences required to use, amend, edit, adapt and publish the images by the Organiser. Each entrant hereby grants to Reed a worldwide, non-exclusive royalty-free right and licence to use, reproduce, publish, store, distribute and display the images in accordance with these Terms of entry.
- By entering the Awards, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of the Awards and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. Such personal information will be processed in accordance with the requirements of applicable data protection laws and Reed’s privacy policy.
